Art by artists from the architectural professions of Scotland

Annie Pollock

Annie Pollock studied architecture and landscape architecture at Edinburgh University and has a life long love of art from childhood onwards, when her mother who had been to art college, taught her the basics of drawing and sketching.

Now retired, Annie particularly loves painting portraits and landscapes in any medium, and on holiday always has a sketch book to hand. She goes regularly to art classes which offer opportunities to sketch in various Edinburgh venues and then develop into a oil painting.

Much of her working life involved design for people with dementia and she noted how therapeutic outdoor spaces, music and art are for people with this illness.

She has exhibited and also taken on private commissions.
