Mike Shepley DA is an Andrew Grant scholar and a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art where he studied architecture under Sir Ralph Cowan.
With a keen interest in drawing and painting in the early 60s, under the direction of Sir Robin Philipson, Mike interacted with fellow contemporary Edinburgh College of Art students including John Bellany, Alexander Moffat, Bill Gillon and Gordon Bryce.
Mike has spent much of the last 30 years in the Middle East, based in UAE, running his multi-media production company, writing and painting, including winning the DIAC Dubai International Art Centre’s Gold Medal and Watercolour challenge. He returned to Scotland in 2013 and lives in Edinburgh where he concentrates on his painting, which is attracting considerable interest from collectors, critics and the media. He also donates paintings on a regular basis to various charities.
Mike is an active member and exhibitor with the Scottish Society of Architect Artists SSAA and regularly exhibits with the European 'Ligne et Couleur’ in France and Italy.
