Aberdeenshire based artist, Ian Ivor Baxter McCrorie, studied at Glasgow School of Art, Mackintosh School of Architecture and Glasgow University, then qualified as an architect in 1977. He gained practical experience in Scotland, England and Germany.
Ian showed evidence of an early interest in art shown by scrawls on Beatrix Potter books, endeavouring to copy her drawings. He went on to run Shoreline Studio in Fife from 1997 as an art gallery and in private practice as a registered architect and project manager in association with his wife; a teacher, lecturer, artist and examiner in Higher Art.
Since retiring Ian has written around 160 short stories which he intends to illustrate.
